About Vincent Tocci

Vincent Tocci is the Democratic nominee for Connecticut's 52nd General Assembly District, representing Stafford, Somers, Union, and Woodstock. A graduate of Williams College with a degree in Political Science, Vincent has dedicated his career to public service, public policy, and community engagement. His professional experience includes conducting foreign policy and national security research for the National Union for Democracy in Iran, serving as a research assistant to Professor Michael MacDonald at Williams College, interning for U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, and working in the Worcester District Attorney's Office. He has also served as Social Media Coordinator for the Woodstock Democratic Town Committee and the CT-35 Senate PAC, helping modernize local political outreach and increase voter engagement. Beyond his professional work, Vincent volunteered as a firefighter, served as President of the Williams College Debate Union, and has worked to strengthen civic participation both on campus and in his community.

Vincent decided to run for State Representative because too many young people and working families are being priced out of the communities they call home. While conducting counterterrorism and foreign policy research in Jordan during one of that country's most politically divisive periods, he found himself thinking less about events overseas and more about the challenges facing his own community. Like many of his neighbors, Vincent began to wonder whether he would ever be able to afford to return home and build a future in the town he loves. After becoming involved with his local Democratic Town Committee, he realized these concerns were shared by families, seniors, and young professionals across the district. Frustrated by years of rising costs and inaction from current leadership, Vincent decided that instead of waiting for change, he would step forward and fight for affordable communities, stronger public schools, responsible economic growth, and a state government that works for everyone.
